Student Success Planning Conferences
SSP Confernces will be held for all current 9 - 11th grade students on Wednesday, March 13.  Each student must be accompanied by a parent/guardian for their scheduled conference.  Contact laura.hunt@lhwolves.net with questions concerning SSP conference day.  9 - 12th grade students will not attend classes on March 13, only the SSP scheduled conference.

Primary, Elementary, Intermediate Yearbook Deadline
The deadline to order a yearbook for primary, elementary, and intermediate school is Friday, March 15.  Cost is $25. 

ASPIRATIONS IN COMPUTING EDUCATOR AWARD

Lake Hamilton computer science teacher, Karma Turner, has been selected as the winner of the National Center for Women and Information Technology (NCWIT) Aspirations in Computing Award Educator of the Year. In honor of her achievement, she will be recognized at the 9th NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Awards Dinner held as part of the NCWIT 2019 Women in Technology Conference in April.

FEBRUARY ALPHA PACK

Lake Hamilton Primary School recently announced the February Alpha Pack. These students were selected by their teacher based on outstanding character and being an all-around awesome kid!

NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC GEOBEE ARKANSAS STATE COMPETITION SEMIFINALIST

Lake Hamilton Middle School 7th grade student Chris Davidson and Lake Hamilton Junior High 8th grade student Harrison Carrouth have recently been notified by the National Geographic Society that they are semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2019 National Geographic GeoBee Arkansas State Competition. The contest will be held at University of Central Arkansas on Friday, March 29, 2019.

INNOVATION HUB FIELD TRIP

Lake Hamilton computer science teacher, Karma Turner, recently took a group of students to the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub in Little Rock to learn about coding and using a laser cutting machine.  The students learned to create vector art and prepared it to run on the laser cutter, producing beautiful masterpieces. This trip was sponsored by the Lake Hamilton Girls Who Code Club.

QUIZ BOWL ALL STAR

Lake Hamilton Junior High quiz bowl captain, Wesley Bonner, recently competed in the Junior All Star Quiz Bowl Tournament at ASU-Beebe with over 100 other all stars from Arkansas. Wesley finished fourth in individual scoring, earning him a place on the all-tournament team.

JANUARY ACE AWARD

Lake Hamilton Middle School has announced the ACE award winners for the month of January. These students were chosen by the teaching staff for having a great attitude, character, and enthusiasm for learning!

SCHOLASTIC ART AWARD

Lake Hamilton High School student, Kendra Bennett, has been awarded honorable mention from the Scholastic Art Awards. For 96 years, these awards have been recognizing some of America's most celebrated artists when they were just teenagers such as Andy Warhol and Ken Burns. This year, nearly 340,000 works of art were submitted for the contest.

REGION CONCERT BAND ASSESSMENT

The Lake Hamilton 8th grade band, symphonic winds, and wind symphony participated in their state assessment hosted at Lake Hamilton High School. All three bands earned 1st Division ratings from each of the three stage judges as well as sight reading.
