Special Meeting
Monday, December 9
7:00-8:30 pm
All meetings are open to the public.
Everyone is welcome.
Hayhurst Neighborhood Association will hold a special meeting on Monday, December 9, 2019, 7:00 – 8:30 pm to focus on the city of Portland’s current Residential Infill Project (RIP) proposal that may drastically affect our neighborhood. The meeting will be held at Vermont Hills United Methodist Church, which is located at 6053 SW 55th Drive.
The purpose of the meeting is to educate residents about the potential impact of the RIP proposal, if approved by the City Council in January. Residents will also be provided information for their use in letter writing and/or testimony to members of the City Council. The City Council will be conducting a hearing on the RIP on Wednesday, January 15, 2020.
Hayhurst NA Board members understand that this time of year is not optimal for a meeting but the timing of the January 15th City Council hearing on this proposal drives our interest in meeting in December. Plan to attend and invite your neighbors.
Susan King, Hayhurst NA Land Use Committee Co-Chair, will lead the meeting. We’re also planning to invite guest speakers. This is a major proposed change to the Hayhurst neighborhood. So, we want to ensure that your letters or written testimony provide valuable public input to the Council’s decision-making process.
Thank you,
Janet Hawkins, Chair
Hayhurst NA
