#PromiseSquare

This Week's Promise to Share

He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them. And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever takes the lowly position of this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me.

Matthew 18:2-5, NIV

FROM JOHN MCLARTY

All Things Bright and Beautiful

It's normal--kids on the platform at Green Lake Church. But it is a bit unusual to have the communion table crowded with stuffed animals, plastic flowers, and artificial fruit. This Sabbath, one of the featured hymns was "All Things Bright and Beautiful" and the kids were handed items referenced in the hymn to bring to the front for children's story and then to cluster them on the table around the Bible. What will the worship committee think of next?
