Bellevue wheel tax - for vehicles with registration renewals in effect beginning May 1
The Village of Bellevue wheel tax was adopted in January and is in effect beginning with vehicles with registrations renewals of May 1, 2019. This means if your vehicle's current registration expires at the end of April 2019 or later, your renewal will include the $20 wheel tax.
The fee is dependent upon the date your renewal is in effect, not when you complete the renewal process.

Bellevue, A Great Place To Grow---TREES!
Bellevue is a Tree City USA community and as such, we need volunteers to help with our Adopt-an-Ash program to help save our public ash trees from Emerald Ash Borer infestation.
Adopt-An-Ash Program Help save our public ash trees from ash borer infestation! You can select a specific tree to adopt or make a general contribution toward the Adopt-A-Tree program. By making a monetary donation/commitment to adopt your tree, the Village will apply a 2-year insecticide treatment to help ward of Emerald Ash Borer infestations.
The price to adopt a tree is dependent on the diameter inch at chest height, measured at 4.5ft up from the ground. Pricing is as follows: 4” to 20” = $10 per diameter inch 21” to 30” = $9 per diameter inch 31” and above = $8 per diameter inch Diameter inch can be calculated by measuring the trunk of your tree around in inches, and then dividing by 3.14 (π).
We will begin treatments through a licensed contractor starting in May. Please contact the department prior to April 15 if you are interested in participating in this program, or download a brochure HERE.
Consider saving a street tree in front of your house or a tree in your neighborhood park. Encourage your neighbors to adopt their street tree!
Right-of-way trees are one of our most important community assets, and our only asset that appreciates in value as time goes on. They provide numerous environmental, social, health, and financial benefits to the municipality. Trees provide shade for humans and shelter for local wildlife, add value to surrounding properties, prevent and make streets more attractive, greener, and livable. The Village’s public street tree population consists of more than 4,000 trees with over 30 different species that range in age, size, and condition. The Village has been awarded Tree City USA status from the Arbor Day Foundation for sixteen consecutive years, starting in 2003. The Village of Bellevue is responsible for the planting and maintenance of street trees in the municipality. The Village adopted a street tree planting program which has been in effect since 2002. Additionally, the Village has a ten-year urban forestry management program to maintain public trees including regular assessment of their health, safety, condition, pruning, removal and replanting requirements.
If you have additional questions on EAB, Adopt-An-Ash, or the Village Forestry Program please check out the Forestry page on the Village website.
