 2018 has been a busy and successful year. We have delivered a variety of different MoveRoll Conveyor modules to several system integrators in Europe and North America. Furthermore, shipments of MoveRoll Horizontal Conveyors just left for Brazil and United Kingdom in January 2019 and February 2019.
The big milestone of 2018 was an installation of MoveRoll Horizontal Conveyor modules in a paper mill in North Africa. The installation was performed by Taiwan Endurance, a Taiwanese system integrator partner of ours. “Our partner made us really global, now we have conveyor installations on almost every continent”, says MoveRoll’s CEO Mikko Rantanen.
We are also delighted, that paper mills and system integrators have increased their demand for MoveRoll Zero Energy Receivers and Braking Pads in 2018. These products have been delivered to customers from all around the world – from South Africa to Finland. |

 Last year, MoveRoll exhibited at PaperCon 2018 in Charlotte, North Carolina. We shared our booth with, one of North American our system integrator partners, and had productive conversations with our customers and friends. Participating at PaperCon 2018 has also been an excellent opportunity to introduce our new North American Sales Manager, Juha Lahtinen, to a broader range of stakeholders in the North American paper industry. This year, PaperCon 2019 will take place in Indianapolis and MoveRoll will again be one of the exhibitors.

We also exhibited at PulPaper 2018 in Helsinki. At our “home event” we shared a booth with one of our Finnish system integrator partners. Just like at PaperCon 2018, the live demonstrations of our MoveRoll Conveyor exhibition unit attracted many visitors. We gladly answered their many questions on how our innovative products can make paper roll handling more efficient than before.

 In May 2018 we celebrated the tenth birthday of our flagship product MoveRoll paper roll conveyor. Many of our friends and partners, who supported us throughout the years, enjoyed the evening together with us. Once again, we would like to thank our friends and partners for the great collaboration and look forward to many more successful projects together.

In summer 2018, our completely renewed MoveRoll website (https://moveroll.com) went live. The website looks fresher than before and features more information on our roll handling products. Already on release, our new website has been available in English and German language; furthermore, we added information in Russian language in autumn and winter 2018.

 2019 promises to become another eventful and successful year. Already the first months have been very busy for our sales team. For example, our CEO Mikko Rantanen went on a long journey to Asia to visit our customers and partners in China, Taiwan and Japan. “It was a pleasure to meet all these good colleagues and to receive such a warm welcome to Asia from key suppliers”, he states.

We are proud to announce that in February 2019 the manufacturing and assembly of MoveRoll products has been certified according to the ISO 9001/2015 standards.
Quality management is very important for MoveRoll and the MoveRoll production. That is why the seven quality management principles customer focus; leadership; engagement of people, process approach; improvement; evidence-based decision making; and relationship management have already clearly been reflected in MoveRoll’s day-to-day operations before the ISO certification has been achieved.
“Managing the quality of our products and services is very important. The ISO 9001/2015 certification was an additional process to further improve our quality management standards as well as to better fulfill our customers’ requirements. There is no contradiction between striving to offer new innovative roll handling and following established quality standards. On the contrary, adhering to high quality standards and keeping the importance of quality for all processes in mind, we can ensure that our customers receive safe and reliable products”, says CEO Mikko Rantanen.

In 2019, we will also concentrate on product development and fine-tuning our existing products. For example, testing and fine-tuning our Zero Energy Receivers will be an important issue on our agenda.
At the beginning of the year, we already introduced MoveRoll Horizontal Conveyor modules with sloped end plates (the angle is 1,86). These modules are especially suitable for a range of winder decks.
The reason for developing the angled and plates for our conveyor module was - that on certain winder decks - rolls move back after hitting receiver units or stoppers. With our regular conveyor modules, there was the risk that the rolls would roll back onto the straight end plates and get stuck there. In contrast, the modified modules with angled end plates take advantage of natural gravity. If rolls bounce back and enter onto the end plates of the new, fine-tuned of the conveyor modules, they will roll back to where they are supposed to be.

From 5 February to 7 February, MoveRoll’s Spanish sales partner Porteca exhibited at SPAPER 2019 in Zaragoza, Spain. Our Area Sales Manager Jonis Mahmutllari had joined them for the exhibition. One of the highlights at the booth were live demonstrations of MoveRoll Horizontal Conveyor.
“It was the first edition of SPaper, organized in Zaragoza. Many visitors watched the live demonstrations of our innovative pressure conveyor and have shown interest in our other products. During the three exhibition days, MoveRoll had the opportunity to be closer to potential new customers in Spain; furthermore, this was a good opportunity to discuss potential safety improvements with existing customers. Spain is a small, yet very important market for MoveRoll and in cooperation with Porteca Paper and other European system integrators, MoveRoll will continue to grow its market in Spain”, says Jonis Mahmutllari.
