Women and Children's Health Research Institute (WCHRI) 
2019 Patient and Community Engagement Training Competition - Application Submissions now open!


The Patient and Community Engagement Training (PaCET) program aims to increase trainee capacity in conducting participatory research in projects focused on women and/or children’s health. Participatory research is a broad-based approach that involves patients, clinicians, community groups, government and/or non-government organizations (NGOs) as engaged partners in collaborative research studies that affect them and in which they have a stake. Awards of up to $1,000 per month are available for a maximum of eight months (September to April).

Choosing Wisely Alberta Symposium 
Beyond Awareness to Implementing Change


Choosing Wisely Alberta and the Physician Learning Program invite you to attend this free symposium to engage in a discussion with clinicians, patients and system leaders about how to prioritize and implement Choosing Wisely recommendations.

At the end of this interactive symposium, learners will be equipped to:

  • list Choosing Wisely related activities and projects taking place in Alberta
  • discuss the future direction of Choosing Wisely in Alberta
  • recognize how implementation best practices can be used to increase the impact of Choosing Wisely activities

KT Canada Summer Institute 2019
