While national politics has been focused on Brexit, the town hall has been setting its budget.
The reality of government funding cuts and a rising population means that we have to make difficult decisions such as increasing council tax and scaling back what we spend in order to protect frontline services.
But carefully managing finances, using developer contributions and focusing our investments means key priorities can be funded - and you can see what they are below.
Also below, is my contribution to the meeting. You can see I had the hump about a proposed amendment invoking the names of deceased children from the borough, in a cheap attempt to score party political points.
Conservative calls to divert an insulting amount to tackling crime as well as proposals to close down the borough's anti-smoking initiatives really show they are only good for moaning, and no good for coming up with ideas to tackle the problems we face.
These will be in addition to the police officers the council has already invested £3m into.
Includes £450k to remove graffiti, £1.5m on waste service mobilisation, £300k for an environmental quality team, £200k on environmental health out of hours and £61k for the green team.
£217m for new council housing schemes and £115m for new temporary accommodation.
This includes £1m for early years, £250k for Tower Hamlets Education Partnership, £85k for school PFI enforcement and various different investments in schools.
Free school meals will continue to be provided for all primary school children and the £700k tackling poverty fund topup will primarily go to those suffering from the government's Universal Credit policy.
£97m of this will directly affect Limehouse with the building of two new secondary schools to serve the south of the borough at London Docks and Westferry.
Other infrastructure includes a new footbridge across the South Dock into Canary Wharf.
I have been pleased to welcome new businesses to Limehouse: the Three Colt Gallery, the reopened Star in the East and FoodyBear minimart.
I've been liaising with the council and the Limehouse Mosque committee in plans for a new mosque and social housing on the St. Vincent's Estate. Watch this space for more information in the future....
