Greetings:
ComEd is proud to bring back our three competitive-grant programs in 2019: Green Region, Powering Safe Communities and Powering the Arts!
Applications for all three programs will be accepted from Friday, Jan. 18 until Friday, March 15. The programs will award grants up to $10,000 for projects in our service territory through a competitive grant-application process. The applications are evaluated by our partners in the programs, as detailed below.
You can find links to all three programs at www.ComEd.com/grants.
- ComEd Green Region, a partnership with Openlands, provides funding to municipalities/governmental entities for open-space projects and is now in its seventh year!
- ComEd Powering Safe Communities, in partnership with the Metropolitan Mayors Caucus, gives support to municipal initiatives that support safety in our local neighborhoods and is celebrating its fifth year.
- ComEd Powering the Arts, with the League of Chicago Theatres as our partner, awards grants to arts & culture nonprofits to expand their programs to underserved audiences, including senior citizens, people with disabilities and low-income individuals and families. This is the second year of the program.
I hope you are pleased to hear about these opportunities.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
