Technical issues now resolved with Regional Representative form
     Thank you to the conscientious people who attempted to fill out the Regional Representative form on Friday and Saturday, and then let us know it was stalled. The issue has been resolved and we're happy to report that as we worked out the issue, several people were able to fill out the form and send us their new representatives' name and contact information.
     If you attempted to fill in the form and found the page had stalled with a "please wait" message, please fill in the form again. If you did fill in the form and received a confirmation email, then we have received your information.
   Thank you all for your patience! A new form of governance, new software!
Let us know your Community of Faith’s
Regional Representative(s)
    Communities of Faith/Pastoral Charges are to elect Lay Regional Representatives at their Annual Meeting. In the past, pastoral charges elected Presbytery representatives who also became their representatives at Conference meetings.
    Please let us know your Regional Representatives and their contact information by filling in our Online Form. Then Chinook Winds Region can be in communication with your representative(s). Also, please let us know of any former Presbytery representative that is not continuing with Regional representation so that they can be removed from our records.
    Regional Representatives will commit to keeping up on Regional news and information and will attend the Chinook Winds General Meeting from June 7-8, 2019 in Lethbridge. Regional Representatives must be members of The United Church of Canada.
      Please note that communities of faith can have more than one lay representative, depending on their size:
• one representative from each community of faith with 100 or fewer members;
· two representatives from each community of faith with 101 to 200 members;
· three representatives from each community of faith with 201 to 300 members;
· four representatives from each community of faith with more than 300 resident members.

Training Sessions for Regional Council Liaisons
(also called Pastoral Relations Liaisons)
 Part two of Regional Council/Pastoral Relations Liaison training will now be offered as a webinar on March 5 at 10 am. Don’t worry if you haven’t attended Part One, you can catch up. This second training session was previously promoted as occurring in Olds, High River and Lethbridge but now will take place online.
     Wondering what a Regional Council/Pastoral Relations Liaison is? It’s a role similar to former Presbytery representatives who would help congregations through the former Joint Needs Assessment Process. You would be helping Communities of Faith to write their profiles to share on ChurchHub, as well as support their search process.
      Deb Kigar is signing in from the Denominational Council to lead a hands-on workshop on ChurchHub.
   If you have questions or would like to sign in, please email Lee Spice, Pastoral Relations Minister, LSpice@united-church.ca for the link.
