Fundraiser Meal

On April 28th, after the Sunday service, the ACC Missions Ministry will be hosting a fundraiser meal to help offset some of the costs of our upcoming trip. On June 7th-9th, we will be sponsoring a trip for our youth group kids to the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter in Kentucky. We will be staying 2 nights, in a two story cabin at a campground nearby. The cabin will sleep up to 20 people, with bathrooms and showers just a short walk away. Missions has paid for the the cabin rental, but are asking for your help with additional expenses: gas, meals, admission tickets, and incidentals. This trip is sure to be an amazing learning experience for all ages! So please, plan to join us for a tasty meal and to help support this wonderful opportunity for our kids to grow in Christ.

May 5th will be “Little Galilee Sunday” at the Atlanta Christian Church! ACC supports Little Galilee Christian Camp and Retreat Center (Clinton, IL) as one of its local missions. Max Aper, Program Director, will be here to update the congregation on the camp, its history and mission, and all it offers for our church’s families, children, and teens. If you have not yet registered your kids for camp or your family for family camp, May 5th will be the Sunday to do it! Max will have a booth set up with camp information to take home with you.

Looking for a Small Group?

Are you looking for a safe place to build friendships with others who are seeking to follow Christ? Have you been attending worship service for a while, but don’t feel like you are really connected with others in the church?  It’s not too late to join one of our many small groups and Bible studies.  We have men’s groups, women’s groups, mixed groups, couples groups, and more.  Please reach out to Doug if you would like information on available groups (217-737-3731).

Benevolence Fund for Vannoy Family

The Atlanta Christian Church have accepted the responsibility for maintaining a benevolence fund for the Larry Vannoy family.  This fund will be used for a much needed new roof for their home.  Larry has been unable to work for sometime because of his health issues.   The community and churches of Atlanta have joined us in this worthy cause.  You can donate by check made payable to Atlanta Christian Church with "Vannoy fund" written in the memo line.
