Dear Terra Community,

Are you as excited as we are that the sun in our hemisphere is showing itself a little more? Up here in the Pacific Northwest the winters can exacerbate mental health issues. We hope you are all taking care of yourselves and being gentle and loving with your capacity to keep up with the churn of capitalism. We must be intentional with our time and energy, as well as our actions and thoughts. We are inspired by Solange's newest album, especially her interlude titled, "Nothing Without Intention." This is a deeply important reminder -- this newsletter is dedicated to Solange and her art.

We are so honored and humbled by the steady stream of applications we have been receiving for Terra co-founders! We are still accepting applications. Our network is not huge, so we want to invest time into our search, especially for something with so much weight as co-founding our platform :)

Could it be you?!

BIG THANKS to everyone who contributed to our Squarespace hosting fee!!! We successfully raised all $216 that we needed to keep our site live through 2019 thanks to our community! Because we are completely independent, we rely on our readers' support! We appreciate any amount of donation --it all goes towards paying our incredible contributors, the daily grind of the work that goes into maintaining the platform, and saving up for a possible summit we may host in the future...!

You can also become a monthly patron for just $1 on our Patreon site! We have to constantly fundraise to keep our authentic content free from corporate sponsorship.

If you're able to make a gift of $5 or $15 or even $50 to kick us off this March please do! Your additional contribution means so much to us no matter the amount!

We are ALWAYS looking for submissions so send us your pitches!

While we have white women giving each other awards for doing jack shit, Teresa Baker has been putting in the real work to create equity and inclusion in the outdoor industry with the Outdoor CEO Pledge. She will be in Portland, Oregon this upcoming March 12th to talk about the necessity of diversity in environmentalism. Following Baker's presentation, there will be a panel discussion with local leaders and innovators in Outdoor Equity including Mercy Shammah of Wild Diversity and Miché Lozano of Latino Outdoors.
See you there!
