Queensland Seniors Week, 17-25 August 2019, provides opportunities to promote positive community attitudes towards older people and ageing, facilitate community participation, and enhance community connections.
Simply, it’s about connecting with folk of all ages and backgrounds, dispelling the stereotypes associated with ageing, and assisting to reduce social isolation.
Council on the Ageing (COTA) Queensland receives funding from the Queensland Government to collaboratively plan, run and subsidise events and activities.
Funded by the Queensland Government, the program provides $100,000 to subsidise events and activities held during Queensland Seniors Week. Eligible applicants can apply for up to $1,000.
