Board meeting to hear update on new hospital plans
An update on plans for a new Harlow hospital will be given at The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust Board meeting at Harlow Leisurezone, Second Avenue, Harlow (9am-10.30am) tomorrow (Wednesday).
The Board will be considering a number of items including the preferred way forward for a new hospital to replace the current Princess Alexandra Hospital and a maternity incentive scheme.
There will also be reports from the quality and safety and performance and finance committees.
Chief executive Lance McCarthy said: "We anticipate that local people will be interested to hear more about the preferred way forward for our new hospital.
“I would like to highlight that the Board meeting is to authorise that we can move to the next stage of the business planning process, which is legally required.
"It is not the final decision which can only be made once a full business case has been completed and approved.
