Community Members Invited to Share Input on Parks & Recreation Plan Update

Community members are invited to share input that will assist the City of East Lansing in updating its Five-Year Parks, Recreation, Open Space and Greenways Plan.

The updated plan will be adopted in 2020 and will serve as an important document that will help guide the future direction of the City’s parks and recreation system for five years and beyond. The current, 2015 plan can be viewed here.

The final public input meeting is scheduled for Thursday, March 7 at 6:30 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road. All community members are welcome to attend.

“We hope community members will take advantage of the opportunities available to share their input with us as we work to update this important document,” said East Lansing Parks, Recreation & Art (ELPRA) Director Tim McCaffrey. “Community participation in this process is extremely important to us and will help us in developing an updated plan that is supported by the community members we serve.”
