We Thank You!
Dear brothers and sisters,
Greetings to you in the name of Our Great God and Savior: JESUS!
February has been one of the ugliest months in our recent history. Destruction of infrasture belonging both to the private sector and the State. Wasteful deaths. Political irresponsibility. Disregard for human life at its highest. And, once again, people were willful used and abused by selfish leaders. Fear, fear and more fear. Consequently, nationals and foreigners who were in the country for this period feared for their lives. The psychological damage left by those interninable days of protest and destruction are impossible to evaluate.
Friends and families of missionaries and tourists who were here were left hanging for days fearing the worst. It was a big financial loss for Haiti. Jobs were lost. Short or no supplies of food, water, gas in areas. Increase of deaths in hospitals because not even ambulances were allowed to travel. The country was locked.
In the meantime, churches in Haiti, in the United States of America and around the world were praying. God has heard our prayers, and out of nowhere came a relative peace. Many have come to understand the situation is a disadvantage for the country.
I am writing to say thank you for your prayers. We need more of it please, please. Schools have resumed. Churches in Port-au-Prince and places where the situation was the worst have reopend their doors. The vulnerable majority have returned to the streets looking for ways to find the one meal a day for their families. But they have discovered that things are harder for them than prior to February 7th. Please pray for the vulnerable, the loving mothers and fathers who are fighting with honor to feed, clothe and school their children. Their situation is worse then before.
In an effort to bring relief to those people, several of my friends have already taken the initiative of raising some funds to buy rice and beans to feed as many families as possible. Brother Miles of Indianapolis, Ed of Moberly and a few others have taken the lead and IAMM of Illinois. Please help raise funds to feed them while we will continue to pray for the country to reach a point of unstoppable progress for a wonderful future. Your prayers and actions will lead Haiti to the level of stable development.
Thank you for making it possible to educate over 1600 students this year. Thank you to Doug Delp, Chad Summa, Brian Sevits, Dr. Thomas Sharp and many others for helping us to continue to train ministers for the churches. Thank you to every one of our supporters who make it possible for us to plant churches, feed, provide medical care, broadcast the Good News through the radio. Thank you for making it possible for Living Water to attract thousands to Christ. May God bless you for what you do for the Kingdom at large and for Haiti in particular.
Please continue to pray for Haiti. Please let us work together so the Haiti of tomorrow can be a better place with stability and positive progress that all of us can appreciate.
