Hope this note finds you warm & well as winter clings on - sparkling snowdrifts, frozen branches, and all. Winter doldrums be damned, though, a lot has happened since the last time I wrote you!
Let's start out with the big one: I am still reeling after last week's opening set for the iconic
LeAnn Rimes. Singing into The Cabot Theater's art-deco-adorned rafters is a thrill in itself; but to do so before LeAnn, whose soaring voice carried her songs - familiar from my childhood boombox, yet reimagined so beautifully - was nothing short of dreamy. It brought me back and pitched me forward, all at once. I am grateful for and humbled by this experience - and fired up, too!

Naturally (being all fired up), I'll be heading into the studio soon to record vocals & mix a few more tracks for "Tide & Stars" (whose first installment, incidentally, is FINALLY available on
Spotify,
iTunes, etc.!). As ever, you will be the first to know when a new single is released. :)
And perhaps most naturally, we'll be gigging a good bit in March. This weekend, Berna & I head north to Tamworth, NH to play a house concert at
The Farmstand on
March 9. Space is very limited (only 3 tickets left as of this email!); so if you'll be in the north country,

Next up, we will be at the beautiful
Me & Thee Coffeehouse in Marblehead, MA, opening for legendary songwriter
David Mallett on March 15.

And finally, on
March 22, we are playing another secret show in the Boston area with
SoFar Sounds -

Last but certainly not least, we had a serendipitous trip down to
Nashville, TN at the end of last month. We heard an insane amount of music. We had a productive song critique at ASCAP Nashville. We played beautiful vintage guitars. We heard a killer concert at The Ryman. We read Johnny Cash's handwritten lyrics to "I Walk the Line".... Needless to say, inspiration was not in short supply!

Hope to see some of you at our shows this month - March has come in like a lion, indeed!
Cheers,
Marina
