What to expect:

City College website continues steady improvements
Broken links from the old website are soon to be fixed

The start of the Spring semester brought us a new website, but with anything new, there's always going to be some bugs to fix.
Although the website was debuted to be more user friendly, there are many report of the links still being broken.
The broken links will soon be fixed within the next couple of weeks. The website has received a lot of positive reviews, regardless of the broken links.

City College’s drama stage is set for spring 2019
Upcoming drama productions include free shows for City College students.

City College will be debuting two shows for the Spring 2019 season.
The 4th Annual Festival of New Plays will be held March 7-16 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays in the Black Box Theatre. Performances will be free to students on Thursdays at 2 pm.
The plays are written by drama students and directed by faculty. These students submitted their plays and the top ones were selected for the Festival of New Plays.
The second performance will be "Heathers the Musical", directed by Dr. Katie Rodda. The play is based off the 1989 cult film "Heathers."
According to Rodda, the lead character, Veronica, played by Alyssa Salacup, gets swept up into the Heathers’ world. Veronica falls for the new kid J.D., played by Devin McKenna, who has a dark streak.

Author brings views on the struggles of undocumented Latinos to City College
A book by Cal State San Marcos professor brings light to the lives of Latinos and immigrants.

Author and professor Dr. Marisol Clark-Ibáñez presented a lecture on her book “Undocumented Latino Youth: Navigating Their Worlds” at San Diego City College on Monday.
This book follows the everyday stuggles Latinos go through daily. Proceeds from the book go to scholarships of undocumented Latinos attending Cal State San Marcos.
The book also documents the solutions allies can do to help undocumented individuals so they know that there is hope. She calls these allies "DREAMer Keepers."
