Good Afternoon Dragon Band Families!


Apologies for the tardiness of this email. We slept in on this first day of spring break. We hope you are having a wonderful spring break so far and are able to get out and enjoy this amazing mild weather! We did have just a couple of reminders for you this week even though school is out for the break. Please read through carefully as we have a number of volunteer asks that we'd really like to get filled if at all possible.
 

Dell Diamond Concessions Volunteers

We have not officially finalized the dates we will be working at the Dell Diamond, but we are close. Tentatively we have selected these 12 games:
 
  • 04-11 Thursday 7PM
  • 04-12 Friday 7PM
  • 04-25 Thursday 7PM
  • 04-26 Friday 7PM
  • 04-27 Saturday 7PM
  • 05-16 Thursday 7PM
  • 05-30 Thursday 7PM
  • 05-31 Friday 7PM
  • 06-01 Saturday 7PM
  • 06-13 Thursday 7PM
  • 06-14 Friday 7PM
  • 06-15 Saturday 7PM

We are waiting to get confirmation that these dates are finalized for our organization. As soon as we get confirmation we will send out a request for volunteers.

In the meantime, use this opportunity to get your TABC license so you can help. There was a lot of detail in last week's email for those who missed it.

While we can't recommend one in particular, you can obtain your license online at any of the following providers:
 
You can also search for any online course to complete your TABC license. Food Handlers licenses are no longer required for volunteer positions at the Dell Diamond
 

Garage Sale Drop-Offs

We have begun collecting items for our HUGE Dragon Band Garage Sale on April 6th.  While we prefer you bring your items to be donated the morning of April 6th, for those who can't or need to make other arrangements we have drop off times scheduled for the following:
 
  • THIS Wednesday 3/20 4:30-6:00 pm 
  • Tuesday 3/26 4:30-6:00 pm 
  • Thursday 3/28 4:30-5:30 pm 
  • Wednesday 4/3 4:30-6:00 pm 
  • Friday 4/5 4:30-7:00 pm

Bring your priced items to the Administration Building Parking lot by the picnic tables.  One of our volunteers will be there to meet you and take you to our storage facility next to the school.

The Nominating Committee presented the slate nominees for the 2019-2020 officers at the general booster meeting held on March 12th.  Congratulations Nominees!  The election of our officers will be at our next general meeting on April 9th.

Mattress Sale

Chris with Custom Fundraising Solutions left us with a lot of great information last Tuesday. Did you know that you could save 40-50% off of the SAME exact mattress being sold at the local mattress stores? Brand Name, Full Warranty, Quality Mattresses will be available for purchase at RRHS on April 6th!

WE NEED YOUR HELP to promote this sale. Talk to your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, people at church, at the grocery store, or anyone who will listen. Spread the word.

The Mattress Sale is scheduled to run from 10 AM through 5 PM on Saturday April 6th. Please share this information with anyone who might need a new mattress, pillows, or bed sheets.
 
We also need a few volunteers to help with the mattress sale throughout the day. The primary job is to greet people as they come into the sale. Volunteering doesn't get much easier than this. Please sign up here if you can help:
