Verkoopautomaten bij de RUG

Wat voor lekkers wil jij zien in de snoepautomaten? Gezond fruit of nootjes? Of toch eerder zoete drankjes, chips of chocolade? Een student van de RUG doet onderzoek naar de verkoopautomaten van de RUG en probeert aan de hand van deze resultaten de kwaliteit van de automaten te verbeteren! Through discussing our challenges in sustainability education, we will aim to critically analyze our experiences and share our best practices. We ask participants to bring in their cases and experiences.

Blog: Plastic is overal!

Plastic is letterlijk overal. De gemiddelde persoon zorgt voor zo'n 80 kilo plastic afval in maar één jaar. Hiervan wordt maar 9% gerecycled en maar liefst 32% beland in de zee. Als er geen actie wordt ondernomen dan zit er in 2050 meer plastic dan vissen in de zee. Een ambassadeur heeft een blog geschreven met 7 tips waarop je het plastic afval tegen kan gaan. LenteKriebels

Heb jij al gehoord van LenteKriebels, de jaarlijkse grote schoonmaakactie in de gemeente Groningen? Je kunt samen met de Green Office onze stad mooier en schoner maken! We verzamelen voor ons kantoor (Visserstraat 49) op maandag 15 april om 12 uur. Vanaf daar zullen we naar het Noorderplantsoen lopen en afval ophalen voor ongeveer een uur. Wees niet bang om vies te worden, wij zorgen voor de tools waarmee het afval opgepakt kan worden. Naderhand zullen wij iedereen die geholpen heeft koude drankjes aanbieden. Meld je nu aan via het onderstaande formulier!

Duurzame tip
Een week zonder vlees

Weet jij wat voor impact het heeft als je één week geen vlees eet? Afgelopen week was het de nationale week zonder vlees, en ruim 50.000 mensen hebben meegedaan aan deze week zonder vlees. Elke volwassene die mee deed heeft zo’n 130 liter water, 76 kilometer autorijden en 770 gram dierenvlees bespaard. Benieuwd hoe deze waarden bepaald zijn?

Plastic is literally everywhere. The average person accumulates about 80 kg of plastic waste in only one year. Only 9% of this will be recycled and a shocking 32% will end up in the ocean. If we don't take serious actions now, there could be more plastic than fish in the ocean by 2050. A sustainability ambassador has written a blog with 7 tips on how to prevent plastic waste. LenteKriebels (Cleanup in Groningen)

Have you heard of LenteKriebels, the annual spring cleanup in Groningen? Come and join the Green Office and clean up our city! We’ll meet in front of our office (Visserstraat 49) on Monday the 15th of April at 12 o’clock. From there we will walk to the Noorderplantsoen and collect trash for approximately one hour. Don’t worry about getting dirty, we’ll provide reaching tools. We’ll treat everyone who helps with cold drinks at the end. Sign up via the form below!

One week without meat

Do you know what the impact is of not eating meat for a whole week? Last week, the national week without meat took place, and over 50.000 people participated. Each adult saved about 130 liters of water, 76 kilometers by car and 770 grams of animal meat. Curious to how these values have been calculated?
