Dealing with essay exams can be tricky: how do you produce a complex and clear argument in just a few minutes?

We’ll show you how to revise, how to practice, and how to ace the exam in this free drop-in workshop.

A Peer Learning Assistant will take you through the process step-by-step and answer your questions about revising, catching up and writing exams.

Book an individual 25-minute appointment with a Peer Writing Assistant 

Monday-Thursday, 6:30-8:30 pm, Saturdays 12:00-2:00 pm, and Sundays from 10:00 am-12:00 pm;

Science Peer Writing Assistants help with written assignments from any science discipline—biology, chemistry, engineering, kinesiology, physics, computer science, etc. In the online booking system, you’ll see them listed as Name (Sciences).

If you are an undergraduate or graduate student who speaks English as an additional language, join us on Wednesdays for academic English drop-in support.

Stop by any time between 6 pm and 8 pm for help with your homework, whether it be a piece of writing, readings, or a presentation. An EAL Assistant will sit down with you, one-on-one, for 15 minutes at a time to answer your questions, give you feedback, and offer strategies. After assisting other students, the EAL Assistant can come back to you to check in and answer further questions.

Stay for 20 minutes or the whole two hours—it’s up to you! This is a safe space to do academic work with support.
