Both resources are available online, as well.

Lent Madness
Inspired by Basketball's "March Madness" with 32 teams
competing for the championship, Lent Madness presents 32
saints who compete for the Golden Halo. This is a fun way to
learn about Church History and the saints, brightening up
the somber 40 days. To receive daily emails, sign up at

https://www.lentmadness.org/. Parishioner Rachel Robles is
heading up our Grace Church "tournament." Devotional
books are available from the Church Office. Our Grace
Church Facebook page will follow the "tournament."

Letting Go of Stuff...and Giving Items for the Fair
The Outreach Committee invites you to consider parting with
one "item" from your house each of the 40 days of Lent. This
is a way of simplifying, decluttering, and, for the spiritually
brave, self-denial. Items will be collected on Palm Sunday
and stored for the fair.

Grace Giving Garden Welcome Workday
Saturday, March 23
11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Breathe

Come to the garden for a breath of fresh air.  Choosing to spend time outside is beneficial to health.  Grace Giving Garden offers a space to renew.  It is almost spring and the garden needs tending.     Join others downstairs in the children’s classroom before we proceed into the garden.  Tasks have varying levels of difficulty.  You are welcome to just breathe the garden air, or grab a shovel, a hoe, and work up a sweat.  Caring for God’s creation is our community call.  When finished on that Saturday, you will find you have a better sense of how the air, water, soil, and animals all are interdependent.  You will be a part of the wonder; how the garden enriches the lives of children, pantry clients, community groups, and us.
Buildings and Grounds Committee
Parish-Wide Round Table Discussion
Saturday, April 13
10:30 - 11:30 am
Thatcher Hall

The Building and Grounds Committee is hosting a parish-wide
round table discussion on building accessibility
issues and concerns.  Our senior parishioners
are especially invited to provide their input as we strive
to provide adequate and equal access to
our buildings and grounds for all.
Join us for coffee, cake, and lively and interesting discussion!
The Vestry designated our Ash Wednesday
collection for the Pigeon Center,
the multi-cultural center that was recently vandalized.

Grace Church donated almost $2,000.

The Pigeon Center also needs teams to help repair the
property and prepare for their summer camp program.
Contact Michael Lodico (Outreach Chair) @
828-989-8503 or
Paula Welling (Vestry Liaison to Outreach) @
339-203-2885
if you can lend some time.

There will be a work day at the Pigeon Center

this Saturday (3/23) starting at 9:00 am.
Please come prepared to pitch in!

BEYOND OUR DOORS
From REACH of Haywood County, Inc.:

Calling all fashionistas:
We need your help!

Hello, friends and allies! As you may know, we are currently in the planning stages of our "Spring into Fashion" Social and Luncheon, taking place this year on Thursday, May 9th at Laurel Ridge Country Club. This is one of our most anticipated events, and raises a lot of money for our clients and the vital services they rely on. Last year, the event's silent auction alone raised enough money to transition eight at-risk families from our emergency shelter into safe new homes.

That's why this year we hope to build on that success, and are seeking donations of your gently-used accessories for our silent auction! We are looking for special pieces such as vintage jewelry, couture scarves, statement necklaces, luxury handbags, and other unique treasures that may be hiding in the back of your closet!

We ask that donations be dropped off at our office at 627 N. Main St. in Waynesville by Friday, April 15th. Feel free to call us at 828-456-7898 with any questions. Tickets will go on sale soon, so watch your inbox for more information!

Thanks so much for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at the event!
