Employer Essentials for Small Business

Do you have employees, or are you thinking of employing workers?

Understand your tax and super obligations as an employer

 

You’ll learn about:

  • what to do when you hire workers, and how to determine whether they’re employees or contractors
  • pay as you go withholding (PAYGW) annual report and payment summaries
  • how to report fringe benefits to your employee
  • superannuation guarantee (SG) rates, reporting and due dates.
  • taxable payments reporting (TPR) for the building and construction industry.

We will show you online tools and resources and you’ll have the chance to ask questions.

Please bring a pen and calculator. After the event we will send you a short online survey – we value your feedback and suggestions.

DIRECTIONS: Please note the event will be held in the Gawler Civic Centre upstairs in the James Martin room. Entry will be off of High Street.

The registration fee for non-members of GBDG, is $69. 
Registration fee includes attendance at the conference and catering.
Catering includes:
- all day tea/coffee and water,
- soft drink and juice at lunch time
- lunch - buffet style
- afternoon tea
- nibbles and the choice of either 1 x glass of house wine or soft drink or beer, during the afternoon networking hour

A *Non-Commercial Business means a business that uses the address from a building or land which is devoted to residential use, within the Town of Gawler, as their base.( eg. mobile food vans, mobile service vehicles, home-based beauty services, online shop, home office, etc.)
