Fundraising for Beowulf 2020

Thank you for your interest in the Beowulf Festival 2019. We have been looking forward to bringing this event to the community since the last one but sadly the journey will take longer than expected. Due to an unforeseen lack of funding, we have reluctantly decided to postpone the main Festival until 2020 and in its place do a fund-raising weekend to which you are ALL invited.

With your support of these and more fundraising events throughout the year, we are confident that we can bring the festival to its full potential in 2020. If you are interested in getting involved or sponsoring an event please visit us at beowulffestival.co.uk

Fundraising events so far include

  • A beautiful Mothering Sunday Persian Tea at the Shire Hall - March 31st.
  • Dr. Sam Newton giving a presentation on “The Origins of Beowulf and the Kingdom of East Anglia” - 3rd May, again at the Shire Hall.
  • May 4th near the Tide Mill, we will have performances from the Beowulf Journeys songwriting competitors and others

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to seeing you at the Fund Raisers.

Kind Regards

The Beowulf 2020 team
