Bouyed by the success of Black Mirror spin-off Bandersnatch, Netflix says it will produce more interactive shows over the next couple of years and experiment with the format in genres other than sci-fi. The streaming giant is also continuing investment in India, with plans to double Indian original production next year. Netflix has also been boosting its Anime content with a new adaptation of video game Dragon's Dogma and a new content deal with the producers of movie franchise Kick Ass.

After the beat down of Canal Play, French premium channel group Canal+ has returned to the SVoD market with new streaming service Canal+ Séries, offering a range of original and international acquired drama for €6.99 a month. In the UK, Channel 4 has confirmed it is in talks with the BBC and ITV to be a part of Britbox in the UK as the SVoD service, originally launched in the US, comes to its home market.

With a plethora of new SVoD services set to launch this year, a rush to aggregate has begun. A free subscription to Hulu's ad-supported tier will be bundled with Spotify Premium, helping Hulu capitalise on the revenue uplift it gets from advertising compared to its subscription-only tier. BT will bundle six-months free access to Amazon Prime and MTV Play with its EE mobile subscriptions, as it continues to explore the role of UK super-aggregator. BT has also agreed a deal with youth media-brand Vice, to make Vice content available to BT TV customers.

Vodafone has partnered with M7 Group, the owner of Czech and Slovak DTH platform Skylink, to allow Skylink Live TV viewers to watch programmes on their mobiles without using their data allowance.

Sports-streaming service DAZN  is launching a cross-platform advertising sales division, DAZN+, to sell airtime across its brands and social channels. Finally, In France, Altice has chosen not to sub-license the rights to this year's Champions League football final, airing the match on its own channel BFMTV. The final is a protected event which must be aired on free TV.
