Last week, the Senate reconvened to mark the 1/4 point of the 2019 legislative session. As we approach the legislative "crossover" point at the end of March, I'm excited to share some updates.
Priority Legislation
SB 7- The SMART Act will streamline our state's electoral process and bring us into the 21st century by modernizing New Hampshire's voter registration process. I'm happy to report the Senate voted 14-10 to pass the SMART Act last week!
SB 67 - This week, I introduced SB 67 to the Election Law Committee. SB 67 will define residency, and restore the right to vote for all Granite Staters. Our democracy is healthiest when everyone participates. This legislation will make sure everyone is included in the process.
Outside the Statehouse
Last weekend, I was proud to nominate Maitri Chittidi for secretary of the New Hampshire Democratic Party. A great leader for Nashua, I was happy to see her win reelection!
