HAPPY EASTER FROM ARISE
“Resurrection is breathing upon me all the time. God is always enticing me to justice and faithfulness. The challenge and wonder of resurrection is before me almost every moment.
Resurrection is a daily event.”

~ Edwina Gateley, “I Hear A Seed Growing”

God calls and entices us to seek justice. We see the challenge and wonder of resurrection almost every moment at ARISE Ministry. It is in seeing resurrection before us that we can say, “Hope Lives Here.” We know that hate, hurt and death do not get the final word. We know that love refused to be buried, that love rolls the stone away, that love wins, and in seeing that we proclaim resurrection and hope. God is always calling us to justice, hope is ever-present, love transforms lives – indeed resurrection is a daily event.
Christ is risen, risen indeed. Alleluia!
Blessings to you this Easter,

Deb

UPCOMING EVENTS

A Hilarious Evening of Opera Improv
Presents "Whose Opera is it Anyway?"
A Hilarious Evening of Opera Improv
in Support of ARISE Ministry

Friday, May 10th 2019
at Armour Heights Presbyterian Church
105 Wilson Avenue, North York, ON M5M 2Z9
Loose Tea Music Theatre is a not-for-profit, charitable music theatre company that specializes in classical music productions, taking an innovative approach to develop and stretch perceptions of the theatre and concert going experience. Loose Tea presents works that challenge the audience and artists to break from tradition and become engaged together in an experience.

Inspired by the famous TV show, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, “Whose Opera Is It Anyway?” is a hilarious marriage of opera and comedy using short-form, game-based improv that has professional opera singers singing about the craziest and most ridiculous things. Singers will create improvised operas out of fortune cookie messages, commercial jingles or even someone’s text conversation! It’s all based on audience suggestions, and, because they’re improvised, each show is different from the last.

Whether you’re an opera fan or have never seen opera before, you won’t want to miss this unique show featuring Canada’s only improv opera group. “Whose Opera Is It Anyway?” takes the stuffiness out of opera and makes it accessible to anyone.

Information on ticket prices and show time will be released soon!
