February was short and sweet for us!

During the month of February, we had an average of about 60 kids coming to our children's worship program (Niños de Vida) every week. We love seeing these kids coming consistently to hear the Word of God!

We also have about 15 regular volunteers, both youth and adults.

Franchesca, a 12-year-old with a servant's heart

One of the girls who has been a huge help is Franchesca. She's 12 years old and lives in the neighborhood around our ministry center.

She not only regularly attends many of One by One's programs, but she also helps other kids come too.

Franchesca goes around her neighborhood to walk younger kids to our worship service so that their parents know they're safe and accounted for. We love seeing her heart for serving!

Another thing that we're grateful for is that our kid's pastor Kidderleng got to attend a ministry conference here in Managua along with his family (who also work with One by One). There are only a handful of organizations in country that are big enough to host large conferences, so learning opportunities like this are a little bit rare.

Gratitude

In the midst of going to work, getting kids to soccer practice, or trying to serve, we often forget to be thankful.

Gratitude can shift our perspective and redirect our mood—but more than that, recognizing God's gracious gifts to us honors Him. Take a moment today to notice others in your life and express gratitude to them, whether it's your spouse, the cashier at the grocery store, your coworker, or your child's daycare teacher. And thank God for them, too!

Prayer

Please be praying for our newest initiative: college scholarships!
As we mentioned in our last newsletter, we're expanding our after-school program to help send some of our sponsored kids to university! We're excited about how much this will empower these kids to reach their goals in life, and we pray that they'll continue to work as hard in university as they have in high school.
We'll keep you updated as we move forward with this!

Another thing to pray about is our new Friday staff meeting.
While our executive staff has always met weekly to pray and collaborate, we've also started a meeting that includes not just decision-makers but support staff too.
Our hope is to be united in our vision and mission as well as explore God-honoring leadership principles.
