IowaBio Bill Tracker - March 15, 2019
Debate picked up this week at the capitol, with some bills being debated in both chambers and sent down to the Governor. We will be working to get key bills onto the debate calendar and out of committee in the opposite chamber before the second funnel.
The Revenue Estimating Conference (REC) meets today to discuss state revenue projections. The Legislature must base its budget on the lower of the December or March numbers. This will set the stage for the appropriations process to move forward, and it could move more swiftly if the numbers look similar to the previous REC estimates.
SF60 and SF292, the infant screening panel bill and non-medical switching bills respectively, have been renumbered and amendments added in committee are now included.
