Lake Hamilton High School implemented a new advisory program during the 2018-19 school year. As part of the program, students are assigned an advisory teacher and mentor that will stay with them throughout their high school years. The Student Success Planning (SSP) Conferences are new this year for incoming 10 – 12th grade students. During the SSP conferences, parents and students meet with their advisor to discuss class scheduling for the 2019-20 school year and look at the overall path for graduation.

3 - 5th Grade Summer Science Camp
Summer Science Enrichment Day Camp will be held June 17 - 21 at Lake Hamilton Intermediate School.  Email belinda.hunter@lhwolves.net for registration form and more information. 

OPTIMIST CLUB ORATORICAL CONTEST WINNERS

Three Lake Hamilton Junior High 9th grade students are the winners of the 2019 Lake Hamilton Optimist Club Oratorical Contest. The topic of the contest for 2019 is "Is there a fine line between optimism and reality?"

1st Place: Bethany Blackwood
2nd Place: Ethan Brock
3rd Place: Garrett Horton

Bethany and Ethan will move on to the zone competition next month. 

FFA RECEIVES AWARDS

Junior high and high school FFA students competed in the Southern District FFA Career Development Skills and Judging Events and the Subarea Leadership Competition this past week. Congratulations to all of those involved who are bringing home awards: Lexy Gilbert, Allie Norton, Katee Johnson, Grace Wagner, Abigail Tarca, Daniel Lynch, Will Gilbert, Nicole Noss, Gabby McFee, Zac Helms, Ashlynn Bates, Blake Stringfellow, Brad Fletcher, Jackson Stringfellow, Jaxon Karm.

The Lake Hamilton School District would like to welcome our newest partner in education: Mid-America Science Museum. The museum is proud to offer a fun and educational after school program for Lake Hamilton students. ARKANSAS GAME AND FISH GRANT

The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission presented the Lake Hamilton High School C.A.R.E. program with a grant of $4,995.22 that will be used to re-establish Wild Wolf Park including renovations to the outdoor classroom, establishing a pollinator garden, and bird watching station.

The high school will be offering a brand new life science course next year that combines the earth and physical education. The course directs the students to C.A.R.E. (conservation and recreation education) issues that are associated with outdoor activities in Arkansas.
