Yangarra Old Vine Grenache 2017
McLaren Vale, SA

"It is a glorious example of grenache. 97 Points." - James Halliday

Normally $32
Special Price $30

If you can think of a wine from vines planted as far back as 1946 that comes in at this price we'd love to hear it. Yangarra's old Grenache Bush Vines are clearly in their prime considering the undeniable quality of the wine. Redefining Australian Grenache as truly world class, Yangarra make a complex and elegant wine, worthy of the hype. Winemaker Peter Fraser has won Halliday's Winemaker of the Year and his winery has TWICE won Wine and Spirits Magazine's International Winery of the Year. Plus it's organic!

"Hand-picked and sorted in the winery, the fermentation is wild. It is a glorious example of grenache picked earlier than in the past, retaining all the freshness of red cherries/berries, spices starting to build, tannins beautifully shaped.” - James Halliday

PATRICK PIUZE CHABLIS

Patrick Piuze Terroir de Chichee 2017
Chablis, France

"One of the highlights of Piuze's AOC bottlings... pure and elegantly glossy, with wonderful focus." - Wine Advocate

Normally $54
Special Price $50

Patrick Piuze is everything we seek in great Chablis. In this suite of Chablis AOC bottlings, he intends to show the unique "terroirs" of the townships of the region. What you get with these wines are Chardonnays stamped with regional terroir without the higher price tag of Premier or Grand Cru.

Chichee is just south of the town of Chablis sourced from beside the Vaucopin Premier Cru. Piuze's expression of Chichee shows a fresh, racy palate. Absoutely succulent!

"Offering up classy aromas of citrus zest, white flowers and pastry cream. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, pure and elegantly glossy, with wonderful focus and structural tension, built around tangy acids.” - Wine Advocate

Patrick Piuze Terroir de Chablis 2017
Chablis, France

"The 2017 Chablis Terroir de Chablis is superb... satiny and complete." - Wine Advocate

Normally $54
Special Price $50

The village of Chablis is the region's classic heart. This wine has a complexity rarely seen at this level with all that seductive oyster-shell minerality. It is from two sites just near the regarded Montmains Premier Cru vineyard, and while it muscles for equal recognition you won't be paying for the Montmains moniker.

"Unfurling in the glass with notes of oystershell, lemon oil and dried white flowers, framed by light reduction. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and complete, with bright but ripe acids and a long, mouthwatering finish.” - Wine Advocate

Patrick Piuze Terroir de Fye 2017
Chablis, France

"This could be from nowhere else with its cool, pure and restrained nose of citrus, mineral reduction, quinine and white orchard fruit scents."
- Allen Meadows

Normally $54
Special Price $50

The Terroir de Fye comes from a North, cool sub-region of Chablis, just down the Northern back slope of the Grand Cru sites - it neighbours the famed Blanchots Grand Cru and the Montee de Tonnerre Premier Cru. Staggering value.

"Its attractive bouquet of peach, Meyer lemon and smoky reduction introducing an ample, medium to full-bodied wine that's still firm and compressed on the finish.” - Wine Advocate
