A sneaky mid season Newsletter to remind you we have our DFEL Gathering on 19th March (Maitlandfield House Hotel, Haddington, 10.30 - 2.30pm). It's  informal and for everyone interested in dementia. We'll be looking at the draft East Lothian Health & Social Care Strategy & giving our views. You can read the Draft Strategy here. We had a really useful session on 4th March at Queen Margarets University with Trish Leddy who runs the Carers Strategy and Professor Brendan McCormack from Queen Margaret’s University.  We've agreed to work together to make the most of the skills and resources we have available.  Read more here.  Brendan is also working with Age Scotland and the University of Edinburgh to set up the School of Leadership in Dementia and a National Forum for Dementia Policy and Practice. Plus, there's a smaller Meeting with the Health and Social Care Strategy   - 20th March, 12 noon - 2pm Haddington.  We will take our views from the Gathering to the IJB to continue the conversation and work with them to make East Lothian's Dementia Strategy special.
