Beer Sailing Club Newsletter
The mornings are still crisp but Spring is here! During the winter months since Christmas, there have been a variety of events held to keep us all entertained. We've had a Curry Night courtesy of the Burleys, a Mediterranean Sunshine lunch hosted by Chris Pickles and a Quiz Night organised by Mike Entwistle.

Most recently, the season was officially opened by The Start Of The Season Supper. We are delighted to report that the food and catering service provided by Jurassic Cottage Kitchen was both delicious and excellent. We look forward to partnering with them more in the future.

We have a busy calendar planned for the coming months so we're excited about the new season. Even more so now that we can offer the facility to pay by card as well as cash. Many thanks to the bar team for sorting out a card machine.
New Mural in the Clubhouse
Take some time to view the new club Mural above the kitchen and bar. Beautifully detailed, you’ll find new talking points each time you look!
Beach Party
The winter storms had made an undulating, dinghy-unfriendly mess of our beach over the winter months. A danger to all transoms! The digger duly arrived to rescue us last week. With our section of beach now flattened, a very successful beach work party took place last Saturday. The rope cordons have been removed, the summer deck and matt formations have been re-laid to the south of the main run and the ribs have been returned to their position near the ridge. New improvements for this year include the addition of non-slip strips along the entire length of decking. Far more effective than paint and procured for a snip!
Start of the Sailing Season
Club Sailing is due to start on Sunday the 21st of April at 10am for this season. Purposefully timed to make sure we're all ashore on time for a spot of lunch and a free Sunday afternoon. The Thursday night series starts on the 25th at 6:30pm, just 4 days later. Don't get caught out by the slightly earlier start time, get your wiggle on after work to hit the water in time. Get in touch with Michael Taylor to join the Whatsapp group and stay in the loop.
Sundays - 10am Start
Thursdays - 6:30pm Start

Sailing Support Clinics
For those looking to get involved, Clinics will be held at 9am on Sunday 21st and 5.30pm Thursday 25th of April. These will be informal sessions on how to perform your duty in the Patrol Boat or in the Race Hut with friendly club enthusiasts who will pass on their knowledge in a relaxed manner. All members are welcome, but please make a special effort to attend if you have volunteered on the club renewal form.
New Web Cam!
It's now even easier to view the beach and sailing conditions using our newly installed time-lapse Web Cam. Visit the Sailing Club website for a link and get this view from your computer.
