Crazy Socks and Shake Your Shamrocks 5k is almost here

The Brumby and East Cobb Middle School Crazy Socks & Shake Your Shamrocks 5K on March 16 is almost here. This awesome 5K will raise funds for the East Cobb Middle School PE Department and the Brumby STEM program. 50% of the proceeds from the race will go toward the Brumby STEM program, and 50% of the proceeds will go to purchase equipment for students' use in the ECMS Health and PE Department. Register today.

You're invited to Wheeler's Theater show and Dinner

Wheeler is hosting a Dinner Theater event this Spring. On April 26th, Wheeler theater students will perform Annie following a limited seating dinner hosted, prepared and served by Wheeler students. If you would like to attend the Dinner Theater, tickets can be purchased here

The event is Friday, April 26, beginning with the Dinner at 5:30pm, and Annie at 7:00pm. Tickets are $50 for the Dinner + Annie, while tickets for Annie alone are $10. If you would like to donate funds, nonperishable food items, or help in other ways, please email Kelly Feddersen at Kelly.Feddersen@cobbk12.org.


Disney's Cinderella Kids! at Eastvalley

The Eastvalley Eagle Chorus presents Disney's Cinderella Kids on March 20, 21, and 22 at 6:30 pm on the Eastvalley stage. General admission tickets cost $5 for adults and $3 for kids at the door. CCSD staff, show your ID badge for free admissionrom.

Students represent ECMS in the Auburn Honor Band

Blaise Riner and Ari Epstein represented ECMS and participated in the Auburn Honor Band January 31st - February 2nd. 213 kids representing 50 middle schools throughout the southeast.


ECMS Geography Bee Winner is advancing to state

Congrats, Judah. We are thrilled that you have advanced to state. You will represent us well! 

The National Geographic GeoBee includes three levels of competition; school, state, and national. Schools conduct a GeoBee and name a school champion. The school champion takes a proctored online qualifying test and the top 100 ranked students in each state qualify to represent their school at the state level GeoBee competition. State champions then travel to National Geographic headquarters in Washington, D.C., to compete in the national championship.

Summer Camp

Wheeler's Science Spectrum Summer Camp

Rising 7th - 9th: Wheeler is once again hosting Science Spectrum camp this summer from June 10 - 14, 2019, 9:00am - 3:00pm daily.

Designed for rising 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students who have an interest in science and engineering. This five day camp will offer students the opportunity to explore an array of science and engineering fields including Robotics, Chemistry, Forensics,Biotechnology, and Engineering. Learn more. 


Camp Invention hosted by Sedalia Park

Calling all rising 7-9th graders: Do you want to be a student leader at Camp Invention this summer? (hosted at Sedalia Park) Your child can be a role model for younger inventors. The Leaders-in-Training program invites 7th to 9th graders to participate in Camp Invention® in a whole new way. They’ll guide children through exciting STEM activities during the week of a local camp program, encouraging creativity and hands-on fun while building their leadership and goal-setting abilities.

When: June 10-13 from 8-4

Waves Summer Music Camp Registration is open

Are you looking for a awesome summer camp for your student?
ECMS is offering team building, lots of social activities, soccer, football, ultimate frisbee, movie day, SuperHero Day, and a host of music electives including Jazz, World Drumming, Guitar, Large and Small Ensembles. We even have a beginner track for rising 6th graders who want to get a jumpstart on playing their instrument. This camp is for rising 6th through rising 9th grade students. Register your student today. 

Cost is $125 for the week from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. each. 
Online payment and registration begins Jan. 28, 2019
