LunarG Donates Vulkan SDK to Khronos to promote a unified Vulkan ecosystem and enable wider collaboration on SDK development
New Look for the Vulkan SDK Download Site
LunarG has opened its desktop SDK build and packaging scripts to the Khronos working group and rebranded as the Vulkan SDK. The goals are to:
- Remove possible confusion from having a third-party name associated with the Vulkan SDK,
- Create transparency to enable collaboration and create a Khronos Vulkan SDK,
- Encourage one Vulkan SDK to avoid fragmentation in the ecosystem.
