To celebrate the start of the spring Club Waxwing season I'll pop the corks on a few bottles of the À la Volée sparkling Riesling this evening. The suggested Club offering consists of three terrific new Waxwing wines:
2018 Pinot Noir Rosé from Delfina's Vineyard in the Arroyo Seco AVA
2017 Deerheart Vineyard Pinot Noir (the first release from this vineyard on the far western edge of the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA)
2016 Flocchini Vineyard Syrah from the Petaluma Gap.
Each will be open to taste as well as our first Cabernet Sauvignon from the Santa Barbara area. Sparkling, Rosé, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Cab? That's a lineup!

Club wines for spring 2019 ready for pickup this Friday night at Waxwing in Belmont.

If you are in the Club, come on down tonight to pick up your spring allotment. Friday Night Flight tastings are open to Club members and the general public.

- Friday, March 15, Friday Night Flight at Belmont winery.
- Friday, March 22, Friday Night Flight at Belmont winery/Birthday Bash.
- Friday, March 29, Friday Night Flight at Belmont winery.
- Friday, April 5, Winery Closed for Spring Break. Back the following week.
- Friday, April 12, Friday Night Flight at Belmont winery
- Saturday, April 20, SCM Passport Tasting at Waxwing, noon to 5 pm
- Sunday, May 19, Silicon Valley Wine Auction Grand Tasting at Montalvo Arts Center noon to 4pm
The Friday Night Flights tastings are held at the Belmont winery, 111 Industrial Rd, Unit 8, and go from 6 to 9 pm. Taste a flight of 5 Waxwing wines for $10 (FREE for Club Waxwing members and a guest).
