There's always something happening at ULC and this week is no different. We're kicking off this update with an exciting announcement....
Roger O. is officially a 2019 CHITF Taekwondo World Champion!! He won a gold medal in the 5th-1st Gup Integrated event under the Junior Male category. Hurray!!
The competition was held in buzzing Melbourne city, Australia last weekend. Braving the other competitors, Roger also fearlessly punched and kicked his way to a silver medal in the 5th-1st Gup Individual Pattern event under the same category. What an accomplishment!
Congratulations Roger! We are extremely proud of all that you have achieved and look forward to hearing about your experiences there.
Meanwhile....in another sports news, parkour was in full swing last Tuesday as the official class started. Kids were seen unleashing their energy through various physical outlets and learning how to move naturally. They are certainly getting the hang of all the jumping and rolling.
It's not too late to sign up for classes if your kid(s) is keen to give it a go, so do scroll down for more information.
Moving on.... once again, we had our community of parents, kids, staff and families come out to bowl their hearts out. There were returnees from the previous bowling session and many new faces eager to get in on the action. Clearly the bowling bug is spreading! It was a wonderful evening as everyone mingled together and gave a shot at striking the pins.
Look out for our next Community Superbowl in two weeks on 27th March!
On another note, while the kids had a day off on Friday, the team had a real treat on our staff development day out. From trust building to problem solving activities, we all learned to be better communicators as we engaged in team endeavours. There was definitely a boost in morale and an energised team spirit, equipping us all to better serve your kids.
What a great way to finish the week! We look forward to what's coming next....

Mondays 8:00-9:30am
Please join us for an English conversation class for mothers on Mondays, at the Will You? Café from 8am till 9:30am. Trista, a native English speaker will be hosting a class that will help engage conversational skills. Please do not feel in any way that you are not proficient enough to join. This is an open place to make mistakes and learn together!

Calling all mahjong enthusiasts! This mahjong group gathers every Thursday afternoon from 1-4pm to hit the tiles at Will You? Café. Whether you're a pro or a newbie, all are welcome to join in the fun and learn the art of this traditional Chinese game.
Social Dance
It was a lively scene as the community came out and danced the night away in our social dancing event last Thursday. Everyone had a jolly good time moving to the rhythm of the beat. Do come and join us for our next social dance at 1Mont Kiara by checking our updates on www.livespace.my.

This is open for everyone. Parents, kids, friends of the community. We look forward to making this a regular event. There is no charge to enter, so do come and join us in fellowship even if you don't want to play.
Shoe Rental is RM2.50 and game charges are RM10 per game played. The pricing for children and adults are the same.

If you are looking to join us regularly, they have a membership that provides you with cheaper game rates and free shoe rental.
