Thank You Corner:
"Luck of the Leopard" Auction

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out last night to enjoy Luck of the Leopard, Lakeshore's auction! If you have photos from yesterday, please upload them to bit.ly/ls19apix so we can see all the fun.

So many people helped and we appreciate every one of you! Very special shout-out to parents Will Gow and Cambria Gersten who stepped up to be primary emcees after Mr. Hartford was unable to attend due to illness. This was Will's first Lakeshore emcee gig, and Cambria agreed to help on a moment's notice at the auction!

Including last night, we've raised over $28,000 so far from auction activities. There are still some excellent offerings at bit.ly/lsauctioncat. Make your wishlist to help us reach our $30,000 goal, because we will hold an online sale as well as offer these at Superhero Saturday!

Some housekeeping: 1) Our team has fixed some discrepancies so some guests have received an updated invoice. Please pay at your earliest convenience. 2) If you bid on items and won but left before check-out opened, you should have received an email by now. Please pay and our team will be in touch to meet up. We prefer you pay with the link in your email but you can also leave cash/check in the lockbox in the office. 3) Most Lucky Leopard experiences with staff were funded! The first grade ice cream party will take place, and for the remaining experiences, we will draw the winners and notify them this week. 4) Did you enjoy the event? Consider saying "thanks" with a donation to nonprofit Heart In Motion who helped us set up the whole room.

Thank you to all our sponsors, donors, volunteers, and guests! You have made a difference for Lakeshore.

A Life Cycle Lesson with Pollywogs

Several teachers in Kindergarten/1st/2nd grades are participating in a Life Cycle lesson with pollywogs. It is a wonderful opportunity to watch water creatures grow arms, legs and learn to breath air. Once mature and fully grown, the frogs will be put into our Lakeshore pond located in the Lowell parking lot behind Lakeshore gardens.

This is all possible by the generosity of the employees from Peet's Coffee on West Portal who donated the funds to purchase all new tanks. Please take the time to stop by Peet's and give an acknowledging thanks, perhaps with your student and let the employees know how much it is appreciated at Lakeshore.

Also thanks to alumni parents Shannon Hunts and Tricia Salamon, (aka Ms. Trish, our Substitute Teacher) for organizing and introducing Cousin Clay. Clay Bennett ("Cousin Clay") is the provider of the pond water, pollywogs, eggs, and knowledge.
