I’m going to chat about two topics today.

1) The young climate change activist Greta Thunberg.

2) The present planetary placements.

She was born in Stockholm in Sweden and is a double Capricorn - Sun and Moon.

I follow her on twitter. She’s now 16.

Under her own steam she has organised rallies and protest marches in a number of European countries. 

How, you may ask, did one young girl manage to do that? (with a little help from her Dad)

Clustered Chart

Well, if we’re using her chart to guide us, (we don’t know her time of birth only the date so ignore the Ascendant sign) we can see her chart is very clustered with a lot of planets in three signs; Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Aquarius. 

They’re on one side of the Zodiac. 

On the other side we have Jupiter in Leo and Saturn in Gemini.

I had to smile when I saw she has Saturn in Gemini coz Saturn is the (male) parenting planet and her Dad is a Gemini actor….her mother Malena Ernman is a Scorpio (famous) classical opera singer.

So having a cluster of planets all close to each other gives her focus.

Focus

And it’s focus you need to be able to bring about any sort of change: personal or collective.

She sat outside her local parliament offices,everyday from the 20th August 2018 until the elections on the 9th September …She took photos of herself with a sign saying ‘School Strike for the Climate’, posted them to the Internet and after months of ‘striking’ every Friday, this caused quite a bit of a stir.

She’s spoken at various climate conferences and because of her Aspergers, OCD and selective Mutism (she only talks when it’s important) she tells it as it is.

And that’s the other thing.

Because she is multilingual she can communicate easily with shakers and movers in other countries.

Now, the difference between the success of Greta’s campaigning and political or retail marketing is, she has NO agenda. 

She’s not doing this for the money…. (yet)…

She’s doing this because it means a lot to her and she isn’t going to be dissuaded. 

So what prompted her and why now?

This is where I’d like to chat about the present planetary placements.

Today’s Planets

Planet Placements 5th March 2019

The last time the three outer planets were in these signs was 1521. This was a time of great uncertainty: the Catholic church, King Henry VIII and a chap called Martin Luther were all in various disputes with each other and resulted in something called the Reformation. 

Those times were as uncertain as they are today!

On the 7th of March ALL the outer planets will be in signs that are either Earth or Water:

Uranus in Taurus = Earth ~ until 2026

Neptune in Pisces = Water ~ until 2026 

Pluto in Capricorn = Earth ~ until 2024

Now to make the best of these transits we need to be aware of them and what they mean for us on Planet Earth.

Uranus is all about Freedom and the ‘Self’. 
Taurus is all about practical things like money, security and the physical world.

Neptune, which I’ve discussed at length in my YouTube Webinar https://youtu.be/31S8NsLujjI is all about our connection with the divine and with it being in its natural home of Pisces, it is urging us to remember our divine soul purpose.

However too much Neptune can lead to confusion. So it’s a balance between honesty, reality and inspiration... and deception, delusion and illusion.

Pluto has been in Capricorn since 2008 and will be in sign until 2024

Pluto is all about deep change and transformation and Capricorn is (another) practical sign that aims for maturity and pragmatism.... (remember, Greta is Sun & Moon in Capricorn)

So we have 7 or so years to sort out a few things.

Now, they could be Personal or Collective.

On the personal level it could mean you need to be practical AND spiritual and free from blindly agreeing to things that you don’t resonate with. Maybe you could concentrate on being kinder to yourself.

On the collective level it could mean that changes will happen that will benefit humanity in a practical way. 

But how that happens is up to us…mere mortals…

I recently read a book called Climate a New Story by Charles Eisenstein .

If you want to know what to ‘do’ about climate change, in a nutshell (just one) of the things he recommends is to pay attention locally to what is happening.

If some big business wants to carve up your local natural green space or take away a local resource, then get together and protest and do something to prevent that from happening.

If all you do is recycle your waste or even better stop wasting things you buy, then that’s a start.

In a few years time we will look back to today and think:

‘Blimey! I lived through that turmoil and I survived.'

We will live through this political and social confused/disruptive/uncertain time and we will survive.
