Cornerstone Nursing Home Ministry
Initiated in 1986, the Cornerstone Nursing Home Ministry has continued providing weekly worship services for long term facilities in the surrounding communities. At the outset, it encompassed five facilities. Currently, we serve three homes each Sunday; two are offered at 10:30 am and one is provided at 11:15 am. We have faithfully provided these services for residents every Sunday. Very often no one else visits these residents; we become their family. They look forward to our visit as we sing hymns, fellowship, and share God's Word with them. If you would like to visit and thereby join us, please contact Frank or Mary Vickery or Alma Labunski.

Elder's Corner
This past Sunday afternoon the Cornerstone family met for a time of prayer. We called upon the name of the LORD and reflected on who he is. God’s essence, his being is revealed in his name. As we assembled in groups to seek His face, I was directed to call upon Yahweh Rohi-The LORD my shepherd. Jesus declares that he is the Good Shepherd (John 10:14). He is called the Great Shepherd (Heb. 13:20) and the Chief Shepherd (1Pet.5:4). He offers guidance and provision and protection for the sheep. Others were also led to pray to our Good, Great, Chief Shepherd and together we were united in spirit and voice as we made requests and sought the Shepherd’s wisdom. We sought direction in attending a high school next year; help in reading the Bible consistently; finances for a mission trip; a plan for my life; decisions regarding jobs; protection of marriages; casting down idols; being godly moms and dads, husbands and wives; ministry leading decision making, protection on all fronts and seeking the Good Shepherd’s wisdom on being shepherds ourselves in our own personal ministries and capacities. Hearts poured out together before God and one another. It was a privilege to pray together in assembly as one body with brothers and sisters of all ages and backgrounds. This was our second monthly Prayer 2019 meeting. Catch the fire of corporate prayer. Only nine meetings remain.

Ministry Enhancement Plan
Ministry Enhancement Plan

How Does The Ministry Enhancement Fit Into Our 3-Year Vision?
Cornerstone, in the next three years, will create a culture that inspires Christ-like believers whose lives reveal God’s goodness and equips mature leaders who multiply to impact our community and beyond. We will strive to develop strong leadership while further equipping our saints for the works of service. Our ministry enhancements are tools that will assist us in our journey to disciple our own and reach the lost. We want to utilize our facility in the most efficient manner. Repurposing rooms helps people make better connections. Additionally, an expanded foyer encourages people to make personal connections within the congregation. First-time visitors and newcomers will have a welcoming atmosphere to meet others.
For complete information and to participate in the Ministry Enhancement Plan with your much-appreciated donation, please visit the Cornerstone Website and click on Give/Building Fund. Please note that giving envelopes labeled "Ministry Enhancement - Building Fund" are available and may be found inside the friendship folder in the Worship Center pews or at the Welcome Center.
