ROMA

Mike, we can’t kidnap her. We have to go through the system.

MIKE

They’d place her in foster care until we’re approved - if we're approved. I’m not gonna let someone decide this for me.

ROMA

If you want a child, you make sacrifices.

MIKE

If you want a child, you do what you have to do.

ROMA

There’s a statue of St. Peter in the Basilica. They say that if you kiss his foot, your wish will come true.

MIKE

I’m not kissing any filthy statue.

ROMA

You can touch the foot instead, but it might not be as effective.

MIKE

What? Only half the wish comes true?
