Day 2

Brand new yarn, just out of the box is our Day 2 deal. 

“Dungarees” yarn is spun from recycled jeans! 

Used jeans are cut to remove zippers, buttons, and grommets. The jeans are fed into a machine which reduces them to fibers, which are then baled for spinning. The “fleece” is spun and the denim fibers are mixed with recycled cotton fibers.

The result is a super soft, slightly tweedy, cotton perfect for baby blankets and sweaters, a shawl or sweater and is perfect for all climates. Lots of yardage too, 219 yards for a 100 gram hank. It knits up to a DK weight gauge on a 5-7 needle. 

I can see a beautiful stripy baby blanket knit out of 3 or 4 colors. So fun. 
There are so many great sweaters right now designed for a DK weight yarn. This would be a great all season sweater yarn!
