It has been an eventful week of activities culminating in our Family Day today.
The occasion began with a combined parents and students activity to spread some good fun followed by impressive performances ranging from a Korean song presentation to a concise video production on the story of Jesus. Even teachers came on stage to present a song using sign language. Great work students and teachers!
On the way to the cafe for refreshments, parents were greeted by merchandise on sale in the Kid's Market hallway. There was an energising buzz of buying and selling going on as kids traded in their handmade products for money. Kidpreneurs in action is what it was!
The event ended with a food fiesta as you parents and kids mingled with each other - what a wonderful celebration of family. It was a lovely way to end the 3rd quarter as kids leave for Spring Break.
Prior to the Family Day event, the past two days saw kids having their own Class Party to celebrate the last days of school before Spring Break. Water was the theme of the day as kids sprayed and splashed each other excitedly.
Meanwhile.... we had a couple of class trips this week where some students got out of their comfort zones and others had a chance to connect with new friends.
CAP 3 class went to Bukit Kiara for a horse riding session organised by Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA). They were nervous at the beginning but gradually learned to enjoy the ride under the guiding eye of a very competent instructor. Nerves were replaced by smiles at the end of the experience.
Our preschoolers field trip to ULC Oasis was an afternoon full of energetic fun and play. They got to mingle with their peers and came back all tired out but happy. It was a delight to watch them enjoy getting to know other kids their age.
So... we had our regular Community Superbowl on Wednesday which is getting into a fortnight routine quite nicely. Unfortunately, just a handful came and we missed watching the rest in action. Looking forward to seeing more of the community turn up in our next bowling activity on April 17.
Finally... we want to congratulate
Hugo H. for completing
The Everly Putrajaya Aquathlon 2019 last Sunday. He proved his endurance with a 200m swim and a 1.5km run. This is a cause for celebration. What a triumph!
Congratulations Hugo! We are extremely proud of you.
We wish you a wonderful Spring Break and look forward to having your kids back on April 8!
Upward Updates will resume in 2 weeks.
