Dear EIT Health InnoStars friends, 

We successfully closed the Business Plan 2020 proposals. Thank you very much, everyone, who contributed to the projects submissions! We all cannot wait to shake the market with our joint innovation ventures. All the projects are now being verified by authorised experts. Invitations for the hearings will go out on 30 April. Hearings are organised on 27-31 May, whereas we - InnoStars - organise a pitch training on 22-23 May. Stay tuned!

Now we are entering summer school submission period. We are looking forward to engage your local communities to join these great education opportunities! Whether you want to learn more about artificial intelligence in healthcare or understand how to leverage e-health workforce by advanced skills, for sure you will find something suitable amongst over 50 different trainings.

Last, but not least if you haven’t had a chance yet to see our asset mapping of the EIT Health RIS region, I encourage you to visit our website and learn more about impressive capacity that we have within EIT Health RIS Community.

EIT Awareness Day in Riga

We represented EIT Health Community during EIT Awareness Day in Riga on 28 March. "Turning challenges into opportunities is absolutely possible with EIT Health. We make innovation happen every single day" underlined Ewa Guzek in her speech. A summary of this event as well as the forthcoming second EIT Awareness Day in Vilnus (29 March) will be available on EIT Health website soon.

    

Personalised Medicine is on our radar

As an official partner of the SAPHIRe project (Securing the Adoption of Personalised Health in Regions) EIT Health InnoStars participated in an interactive international 2-days workshop to discuss current barriers and needs regarding practical implementation of personalized medicine in all European regions. Healthcare 2022: eHealth Summit 

EIT Health InnoStars joined one of the biggest healthcare events in Portugal – the eHealth Summit that took place between the 19 and 22 March in Lisbon. Thanks to an invitation from Glintt, our Partner – Nuno Viegas, Business Creation Manager joined a debate regarding trends in healthcare, start-ups and the industry’s overall view in three years from now. The EIT Community Hub launched in San Francisco

The EIT Community expands to Silicon Valley. The new EIT Innovation Hub will showcase Europe’s innovation and values, bolstering the visibility of European solutions, while helping European businesses and entrepreneurs reach out to potential US customers, partners and investors. Approaching deadline to the Smart-up Lab 2019 

The Smart-Up Lab 2019 is the third edition of an international e-Lab programme organised in parallel in Łódź (Poland), Naples (Italy) and Tartu (Estonia). for students, PhD candidates, researches, entrepreneurs from various disciplines: medicine, life sciences, economy, IT, technical disciplines or similar areas. A great success of EIT Health Core Partner!

The Medical University of Łódź, a Core Partner of EIT Health, has won the prestigious TEAM-NET competition with its project, titled, “We will cure neutropenia (FIXNET)”. The project will be implemented by a consortium of three academic centres. Read more about this unique project here.
