#EHMA2019
For #EHMA2019 we have been working over the last year with many partners to be able to put together diverse and unique sessions, providing rich content and interactive program.
As part of our session teaser campaign, we are pleased to introduce the sessions that will be organized by the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare and by EHMA Programme Directors' Group.

"Climate and energy smart healthcare"
Monday June 17th, 17:00-18:30

Climate change is one of the greatest environmental challenges faced by societies today and action must be taken from a wide range of sectors – healthcare being no exception. In some countries as much as 15% of the carbon emissions come from health services and finding ways to reduce these emissions can therefore make a large impact. This session will focus on solutions and work procedures that can be implemented to improve energy efficiency and reduce climate gas emissions from healthcare activities. Experts will give their view on how climate and energy smart solutions for the healthcare sector can be used to create a more sustainable society.

"Implementing circular economy in healthcare"
Tuesday June 18th, 15:45-17:15

Moving away from a linear ‘take-make-use-dispose’ economic model to a more circular use of resources requires not only retaining value in products by designing for disassembly, reparability, recoverability etc. or creating new business models, but it also requires a new mindset in organisations implementing these products and services. To reach a circular model in healthcare services, behavioral change is vital. We need to talk about how we get our colleagues and managers to act in a more conscious manner and procure products or services with more than just monetary value in mind. This session will involve experts from different backgrounds and fields discussing how to implement circular economy in healthcare from a behavioral point of view.

"Converting learning materials into e-learning sessions"
Wednesday June 19th, 9:30-11:30

This interactive workshop is aimed at providing the knowledge needed for educators to work efficiently with learning technologists in order to convert learning materials used in classrooms and lecture theatres into suitable online learning materials.
The workshop will discuss good e-learning pedagogy and demonstrate such materials. Attendees are encouraged to bring learning materials along with them, so that they can discover the best methods of providing these materials online. Demonstrations and practical applications of templates, which are essential in working relationships between learning technologists and educators will be used enabling further understanding of the nuances of online design.

Overall, this session aims to be informative, practical and fun!
