Hey! Welcome to our April jawn. Thanks for sticking around.

Shooting Star by waveform* Out Now

We're stoked to announce we're collaborating with waveform* on their new record, Shooting Star, which came out last Friday. Spanned over ten tracks, the latest by Dan Poppa and Jarett Denner maintains the woodsy soft-rock palette of last year's stellar library, but with greater composite and farther perimeters.

Glambat featured on Sound Session

Emily Rose Alderman, who records and performs under Glambat, recently sat down with Sound Session's Jodryn Peschel. They discussed The Blow, Emily's comic, imposter syndrome, the millennial whoop and plans for the next Glambat release. We can't reveal info on that jussst yet, but it's coming this month and it's very rad. There's a slight but definite chance it's going to be released on HitClips. Read it here!

Glambat's next gig is this Friday at NG2BC in New Haven, with Washer Facts, Hellrazor and Cardinal Spins. On April 27, Glambat’s opening for Deerhoof at The State House. Holy smokes. Tickets are on sale now.

Bebé Machete

Bebé Machete is a genderqueer Puerto Rican artist from Hartford that we are ecstatic to collaborate with for their next release. Their music blends Salsa, Hip Hop, Lo Fi and experimental rock, seeking to put ancestral rhythms and modes of resistance into a contemporary avant-pop context. In late 2017, they released Equis under the name xango/suave.

They're back with a new name, a new record and a new music video that's dropping April 10.

"Cardinal / Bowling" by Pearl Sugar Out Now

Pearl Sugar has shared two new tracks, “Cardinal” and “Bowling,” that are total stunners in their own right. Blankets of velvet synths, heady bass bites and tender lyrics delivered by Chris Bugnacki lend themselves for a cathartic listen.

Listen here and watch the “Cardinal” music video here, shot by RJ LaRussa, directed by Josh Jenkins and featuring Anna Neville. Album artwork by Callum Abbott.

Documentary on Greetings Begins Production

Ephemerality is the title of artist Matt Meigs' upcoming experimental documentary. It revolves around Greetings, including footage of them in the studio, performing live, bein' people. Filmed using Super 8mm, 16mm, and MiniDV, Meigs aims to capture the band's hazy, analog essence. They've released an Indiegogo campaign to help make it happen.
