Indonesia's social media savvy population and its history of active citizen participation has paved the way for Qlue, Jakarta's smart complaint management system. The system was designed to achieve three primary goals: transforming public service, collecting and managing data, and increasing citizen participation in Greater Jakarta. The app has over 500,000 registered users with 4,000 active daily users. Over 91% of users say that they are satisfied with the system, which has helped solve urban problems faster and has made government officials more accountable to the public.
