Our online survey in relation to the Town's Integrated Traffic Management and Movement Strategy is also currently underway (more details in article below). Again your input as residents is invaluable in the process of developing this strategy, so please take the time to complete the survey - click here. I congratulate the small team of staff involved in organising the Town’s inaugural Bridal Trail. Meet the Staff - Andrew Malone - Executive Manager Regulatory Services
Hi I’m Andrew, the two special ladies in my life are my partner Lizzie and the dog (Molly). I play golf regularly, love watching Ireland play in rugby union (Irelands win over the New Zealand All Blacks was a fantastic day) and I like to plod around in the back garden with plants and trees.
Experience
I commenced with the Town of East Fremantle in November 2012, and have worked in town planning related industries for 13 years, 10 of which have been based in Perth. I have a Bachelor of Arts and a Masters in Regional and Urban Planning obtained in Ireland.
Role at the Town
As Executive Manager of Regulatory Services, I am responsible for the areas of Town Planning, Building and Health Services. It is my role at the Town to regulate the built form and to maintain the distinct and established character of this beautiful Town. Regulatory Services aims to maintain and create a vibrant and sustainable community, through the strict regulatory environment of State and local legislation.

Town introduces New Online Infringement Payment System
The Town of East Fremantle has recently gone ‘live’ with a new online Infringement Payment system via the IT Vision “Altus Infringement App”. The app captures the relevant information for the incident - all this information is synchronized in minutes back the Town’s core software solution. Previously the only options for customers to make payments for infringements were over the phone or in person. Whilst these are still options, the Town is providing a more convenient mechanism via the website for the online payment.

Town Hails it first Bridal Trail
It was a sensational sunny day, with blue skies and even bluer waters, and it is estimated that a couple of hundred people joined over 20 businesses to enjoy the day. The Bridal Trail was an excellent way to showcase what the venues in East Fremantle have to offer and a unique way to highlight their delightful differences. Event organiser and the Town's Economic & Community Development Officer Karen Dore said that general feedback received from visitors on the Trail included “what a great idea”, “much nicer than an expo in one room” and “good to see things all set up”.
Participating venues were East Fremantle Bowling Club, East Fremantle Lawn Tennis Club, East Fremantle Yacht Club, Eat Greek’s “The Boardwalk Function Room”, Gratias Organic Café, Swan Yacht Club, Sweetwater Rooftop Bar, The Duke of George, The Left Bank, Tradewinds Hotel, Young George and Zephyr Café. Jewel on Sewell offers an amazing accommodation option, but wasn’t able to be open on the day due to guests.
Supporting services were provided by local (and neighbouring) businesses; Chalkboards by Jess, Floral Army, Jewellery & Gift Emporium, John Nettleton Photographer, Lead Sled Limousines, Lime Flowers, Paul Davies Bluesman, Pop Up Vintage Weddings, The Mighty Booths and Vintage Kombi Promotions.
Before making plans for next year, the Town welcomes any feedback received through our survey https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/eastfreowed.
