In this workshop, students will receive their scenes the week before the workshop.

John will focus on the PREP with students; breaking down their scripts, diving into their characters, and all the “homework” that goes into “preparation”. John will not offer specific direction, but rather allow the students to make their own choices based upon their preparation. 

John will also host a virtual class (Wednesday, April 10th) for students desiring a little extra prep time. 

On Saturday, April 13th, directly following their session with John, students will PERFORM their scene for Carol. She will watch what the students came up with then offer redirects on their performance. Students will have an opportunity to impress Carol with their ability to take notes on their prepared work and immediately implement them into their performance!

12 & Under
9:00 - 11:30 AMStudents prep their scenes with John D’Aquino, focusing on Character Breakdown, The Moment Before, Expectations, Discovery, Conflict, Strategy, and Outcome.

12:30 - 3:00 PMStudents work with Carol Goldwasser, one-on-one, on their prepared work as she offers observations, directions, and re-directs.

13 & Above
12:30- 3:00PMStudents prep their scenes with John D’Aquino, focusing on Character Breakdown, The Moment Before, Expectations, Discovery, Conflict, Strategy, and Outcome.

3:30-6:00 PMStudents work with Carol Goldwasser one-on-one, offering observations, directions, and re-directs.                    
       
SUNDAY, APRIL 14th  PART TWO - Carol Goldwasser - Cold Read Workshop: 

9:30AM-12:00PM (12 & Under)
12:30PM – 3:00PM (13 & Above)

In the Sunday sessions, Carol works with all the actors from Saturday’s PREP & PERFORM sessions, testing their ability to apply what they know on Cold Read material that Carol will personally select for each actor!
 

 


John D’Aquino is a popular actor (The Mentalist, Dexter, Shake It Up, Seinfeld, CSI, Cory in the House, Hannah Montana, JAG, 3RD Rock from the Sun) is an acting coach, known for helping prepare talented actors for careers in both television and film. John was raised in the theater doing great dramas as well as raucous comedies and believe that all actors need to train and challenge themselves with a broad range of styles to remain relevant in Hollywood.

His students have appeared in a wide range of TV, Film and Broadway Theatre roles. Noah Centineo stars in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before and The Fosters, Nick Robinson played Simon in Simon and also starred in Jurassic World, Madison Iseman stars in Jumanji and Goosebumps, Lilla Crawford was Annie on Broadway and plays Little Red in Into the Woods, Natalie Coughlin stars beside Eddie Murphy in The Cook
 
Liana Ramirez is one of the new Power Rangers, Olivia Keville stars on ABC’s Splitting Up Together, John is possibly best known for his students on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon; Aubrey Miller on Kickin It, Austin and Ally, Sam & Cat and Just Add Magic (Amazon). Kira Kosarin, Jack Griffo and Audrey Whitby on Nick’s The Thundermans. Lizzie Greene stars in Nicky, Ricky, Dicky and Dawn, Siena Agudong stars as Nic on the new No Good Nick, Garren Lake on Andi Mack (General Hospital), Alex Jones on Kickin It. Aedin Mincks starred on Ant Farm, Kenton Duty and Skyler Keesee on Shake It Up, Chris Galya and JJ Totah on Jessie. Cade Sutton on Kirby Buckets and Cory Fogelmanis is on Girl Meets World. Rio Mangini was on Bella and the Bulldogs. Chase Mangum was on Lethal Weapon. Landon Gimenez starred in Resurrection and also recently on Criminal Minds.

Carol Goldwasser Carol Goldwasser is an independent casting director who has worked for over twenty years in Los Angeles and New York. She has cast actors who have received Kid's and Teen Choice Awards, Imagen Awards, Young Artist Awards, and Emmy Award nominations for their roles. Her telefilm work includes the 2018 musical remake of "Freaky Friday." Series work includes "Cousins for Life" (current), "Austin & Ally" (Kids Choice Awards Favorite TV show), "Hannah Montana" (Teen Choice Awards Choice TV Comedy, multiple Emmys), "Dog with a Blog" (multiple Emmy award nominations), and "I'm in the Band." She has been nominated for twelve Casting Society of America Artios Awards for excellence in casting, winning the honor twice, and was a Heller Award nominee for Television Casting Director of the year. Carol is a member of the Television Academy and the Casting Society of America.
