Dear <<First Name*>>,

Spring has officially sprung! I hope some great spring weather is on its way to you as well. I have spent time in my studio this month working on a few paintings and preparing to teach several art classes.

Artist in Residency

I am so excited to be selected for the TreeSong Nature Awareness & Retreat Center Artist In Residency program!!! I get to spend a week in May creating art and living immersed in nature along the Washougal River. It is an honor to be selected to be their very first Artist in Residence. I will also talk about my art and lead an art station at their Run Wild event on June 9, at Fallen Leaf Lake Park in Camas, WA. Thanks to TreeSong and the Washington State Arts Commission for making this possible.

Recommended Reading

I just read Seven Days in the Art World by Sarah Thorton. This is a deep dive into the world of art as the author explores the high profile side of the art world culture. I learned about the inner workings of an art auction house, art studio, gallery, biennale art exhibit and much more. The author actually spent hundreds of hours conducting interviews and researching for this book which is engaging and fascinating to read.
