The CO2 Systems Specialists

🇪🇸 Charo Capelo 🇪🇸

We headed back to Spain to announce our next CO2 Artist.

Ever since Charo was a child, she has had a passion for animals and terrestrial plants. It was 1993 when Charo first stocked her first aquarium with coldwater fish and beginning that familiar journey known by fishkeepers worldwide.

Eventually, when the fishkeeping community took to the internet bringing us the much-loved forums, Charo's love for fish and plants came together.

In 2009 Charo began to study how to care for aquarium plants and from then her love for a beautiful aquarium was born. Very much inspired by nature, Charo uses photography to capture the natural beauty and translates this in her aquascapes. While caring for her 5 aquascapes including her cherished Wabi Kusa, Charo still finds time to moderate in the aquascaping forums and compete in online contests.

We are delighted to be able to support Charo in her upcoming projects. Her next project will be a 200-litre urn - nature scape style!

Welcome to the team!

🇳🇱Isabella Vianello🇳🇱

We have been extra busy meeting new CO2 Artists recently. So busy that we are sharing two with you this week in our newsletter. Say hello to our second Artist of the week Isabella Vianello.
Our new Netherlands artist has many different cultural backgrounds. With her family coming from Germany & Italy. Isabella has also lived in the UK & Austria but now calls the Netherlands her home. She has a keen eye for textures and colour which is always visible in her aquascapes.

Social media is a big part of the hobby for our new artist and she has been part of a fantastic group of aquascapers who are utilising the internet to promote the aquascaping hobby across the world. Going by the name Greenaquascaper Isabella is introducing our hobby to many people and we are delighted to support her with this

Bacopa Monnieri

Difficulty: A very easy plant to care for and is ideal for an absolute beginner. Grows very fast

Tank Position: Best placed at the rear of the tank. Growing to 30cm and with its bushy appearance, it makes a lovely background for any aquarium.

Lighting: This plant requires a moderate level of lighting. Be careful not to provide too little as lower leaves will rot away of too little amount of light is provided.

Temperature: A temperature range of 18-28℃ with better results with water around 25℃

CO2 Requirements: Although it is not essential, it is advised to provide a small amount of CO2 to get the absolute best from this plant.

Feeding: Regular dosing with a fertiliser that includes iron, nitrate and phosphate will give this plant the best environment to grow.

Note: The Bacopa Monnieri is a popular herb worldwide. It is known to help reduce anxiety.

We care about trees

To do our bit for the environment we don't send instruction manuals with any of our products. Instead of a paper instruction guide inside our boxes, we simply place a small card with the link to our website support portal. It is here you can find install guides troubleshooting and many more other helpful articles to make setting up and running your new CO2 Art product as simple. and straight forward as possible.

Doing this reduces the amount of paper we use and helps to reduce waste.

Have you signed up yet?

We have been working on our plans to launch our very own aquascaping community and we are almost ready to launch our new website so we decided to share some more information to let you all know why we are so excited.

The new CO2 Artists community will offer members a place to connect with many other like minded aquascapers. Its a place to show past and present projects, share advice and ideas with aquascapers from across the world. We want our CO2 Artists community to feel special which is why we have included features such as a gallery of different styled aquascaspes, shop directory and even an events calendar so members can find and attend local workshops to further improve their skills.

Our members will have several benefits including special discounts, early access to our new products and much more.

Why not visit our social media pages and check out some of the existing co2 artist galleries already being shared.

We are currently looking for beta testers so if you have not already registered to become a beta tester, you can do so by clicking on the learn more button at the top of the co2 artist facebook page.
